Grand Theft Auto V
Grand Theft Auto V review
Grand Theft Auto V is an extremely popular action game that allows you to explore its open-world consisting of a huge city and its countryside with three playable characters.
Graphics and Sound 9/10
It’s been years since the game’s official release, but the graphics still look fresh and impressive. The textures and models are really detailed, and the world looks realistic to the point of feeling almost alive – thanks to the developers’ efforts in creating not just a random map but an entire city with a bunch of smaller towns around it. The sound design is also top-notch, and apart from ambient music, there’s also a variety of radio stations.
The controls may seem complex at first since almost half of your keyboard is used – but they are intuitive and can be learned in no time. The interface is also pretty intuitive and informative: there’s a mini-map that helps you with orienting, a character menu, and a couple of additional icons.
The overall gameplay is traditional for the Grand Theft Auto series. You play as a criminal that fights his way up in a huge city that’s completely open for exploration. There are lots of various cars you can steal and drive around, a variety of powerful weapons for shooting your enemies, and a lot of missions for you to complete, including an epic main story that involves all three of the main characters. There is also a multiplayer mode that supports up to 30 players and 2 spectators and allows you to play the game with your friends.
Lasting Appeal 10/10
Grand Theft Auto V features so much content that you can literally play it for thousands of hours and still find something new and interesting for you to do. And then there’s GTA Online that lets you explore the city with your friends and other players, adding even more replay value to the game. All in all, it’s so good that it gets almost addictive in no time, so make sure you don’t spend too much time in it.
